Indigo has been cultivated for medicinal, spiritual, religious purposes and more. It is deeply rooted throughout various cultures from West Africa to Southeast Asia to South America. The Indigo plant connects to divinatory practices, marks of initiation, and is the only (as we know it) natural plant that can yield such magnificent hues of blue.
